At a recent wedding I photographed the bride and groom that really wanted to be part of their cocktail hour and not spend much time taking formal photos. Where they were married was beautiful. But it was hard to find an isolated location without taking them too far away from the action.

Even with the time limitations for formal photos, keeping an eye out for spontaneous moments allowed for some stunning wedding photos to be taken and that is what I live for…. I often look for a backdrop that adds in interesting light while the Bride and Groom are less aware of me “the photographer.”

In this case the dusk sun reflecting off the glass outside the reception hall at The Kittle House in Westchester, NY while the bride and groom took time for a champagne toast and kiss providing the moment and the light. We were there with our cameras.

The results speak for themselves!

Enjoy,
